Ms. Colwell consults in areas of intelligence analysis, management, and recruitment.
Ms. Colwell has more than fifteen years of national security experience, including significant expertise in conflict zones, counterinsurgency programs, civilian-military partnerships, and policy development. She worked for thirteen years as an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency, specializing in the Middle East and South Asia, serving in war zones, and collaborating closely with colleagues at the Department of State and Department of Defense. During that time, she served as the senior Agency representative at international summits and managed an interagency counterintelligence program. She has conducted in-depth studies on terrorist and insurgency leadership, and led cross-functional teams building forecasting models for long-term influence of malign actors.
Prior to her time in the Agency, Ms. Colwell served in Army intelligence as an Arabic linguist and attended counterintelligence and interrogator training at Ft. Huachuca. She earned her Masters’ in Near Eastern Studies at the University of Arizona.
